The current series of imagery draws itself from my immediate rural
landscape and the Philadelphia area as well as the nighttime skies over the Schuylkill and
Delaware Rivers. Drawing my inspiration from nature and making use of a variety of
materials, my works on paper incorporate fragments of my life – letters received from
friends, family, photos, found, and reused papers. I also fabricate and dye my own papers,
and weave them all together into visual images. Painting, pasting, and threading together
visions of luminous color and passion with which form, structure and design work together. |
